I don’t know whether this study is a boy or a girl.
For a logical study there are too many pieces and random sacrifices in it.
And in a tactical study the intro should be less bloody and the finale more pointed.

In order to compose meaningful studies, I (and other composers) use the following method: The starting point is an original tactical scheme. In my study, the position before 9…Be3+!! Then I look for a minimal change in position that will make a significant difference in the outcome. Here I found the wPc2. Black wins with this pawn, without the pawn it is draw. Then I look for an introduction to eventually sacrifice this pawn logically. In my study 3.c4!! With this I have a tactical study and at the same time a logical foresight effect. I also found a still key and a black queen sacrifice because that’s kind of part of my style. I am very satisfied with the result of this composition. The only small disadvantage is 4…Bxe2+ 5.Kxe2. Otherwise only black and white sacrifices. There doesn’t have to be a final here. The punchline is Be3+!!
The composition for the coproduction with Steffen in this tournament was very similar. Steffen showed me the tactical scheme with 8.Ba4! Then we both looked for a logically justifiable change of position. We found the selection 2.Rf8/Rg8/Rh8 to be appropriate. Unfortunately we didn't find a perfect introduction and had to insert the wNf1 that doesn't move.
Both studies are comparable 13 pieces in the starting position and the basic tactical scheme (8.Ba4! or 9…Be3+!) has 7-8 pieces. In between there are mainly white and black sacrifices.
I still believe in my method.
Of course I respect Serhiy's opinion (and now also Jan Sprenger's), but I still can't understand her point of view.
In any case, I like my study, but perhaps one is not objective enough with one’s own works.

Who can give me feedback on this study? Thanks in advance!
